Nikon D80, 1/125 sec, f/5.6, ISO 320, 300mm focal length
Taken on 29 Aug 2007 at Kabini when I visited with my parents. Some times I wish I had a VR or a Macro lens. This is the best I could do with my plastic 70-300mm f/4-5.6 with bad lighting.
My Father told me that he first took me to the jungle when I was a 6 month old kid. My love for Wildlife and animals was planted in me then. Ever since, I have been visiting almost all the Wildlife Sanctuaries in Southern India, couple of places I have visited once and the other couple I still frequent. I've had some exciting, interesting, depressing, happy, sad, vulnerable, strong moments in the jungle and I think this is something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. I would say wildlife is now a part of me which I realized after venturing into Wildlife Photography. It is truly an Honor to be photographing the fine moments in the jungle, which one will not be able to achieve one second earlier or later. This started off my Wildlife Photography phase, and I am still learning so many new things every time I visit a jungle. Its been a pleasure doing this and its so relaxing to get out of the so called civilization and live with the most organized living beings on earth...
